Many see cooking as a chore; I was one of them. Being a guy I am not supposed to cook, so says macho-ism. But since my wife’s promotion, she has to work longer hours, and I work from home, so I became the logical choice. You see, I had years of experience working in restaurants, first as a dish washer, then as a cook–needless to say my family encouraged me to explore both talents fully.
At first I resisted cooking, or do just enough to get by; but after watching cooking shows like Chop Kitchen on Food Network, I realize I could be one of those chefs, so I began to see my daily appointment with the kitchen as a challenge. Boy, did that change our family’s dining experience!
So, why cook when you can chef?
